About Mozart
In the opening of the Sonata in F, K.332, we have a song like melody which is followed by a minuet that leads to a "sturm and drang" transitional passage that finally takes us to the dominant where a new minuet and an "empfindsamkeit" passage are just the beginning of the so called second theme. In the opening of the Sonata in F, K.332, we have a song like melody which is followed by a minuet that leads to a "sturm and drang" transitional passage that finally takes us to the dominant where a new minuet and an "empfindsamkeit" passage are just the beginning of the so called second theme. Among the instrumental music, the 27 piano concertos (especially after no.9) which were written as personal vehicles for the composer, consistently contain Mozart's most sublime orchestral writing with particularly beautiful wind music in the mature concertos (No.21: Allegro, Andante; No.23: Allegro con spirito).

Piano quartet
a piano and three other instruments, or a piece written for such a group. In classical music, those other instruments are usually a piano trio, that is a violin, viola and cello. Piano quartets for that standard lineup were written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Antonin Dvorak and Gabriel Fauré among others. In the 20th century, composers have written for more varied groups, with Anton Webern's Quartet, opus 22 (1930), for example, being for piano, violin, clarinet and tenor saxophone, and Olivier Messiaen's Quatuor pour la fin du temps (1940) for piano, violin, cello and clarinet.

Evgeny Kissin
piano studies at age two, and entered the esteemed Gnessin School of Music for Gifted Children. He first studied there with Anna Pavlovna Kantor. At the age of 10, Kissin made his orchestral debut and the year after that he gave his first recital in Moscow. Kissin's talents were manifested to the international scene in 1984, when he played Chopin's two piano concertos with the Moscow State Philharmonic. On September 30, 1990, Kissin made his Carnegie Hall recital debut . Among many other pieces, he has recorded Sergei Rachmaninov's 2nd and 3rd piano concertos and Mozart's 12th and 20th piano concertos. He is considered by many musicians as one of the top pianists in the world.
