Sitar and surbahar artist Jay Kishor has been groomed in the traditional guru shishya tradition in Indian classical music by renowned masters like Annapurna Devi, Pandit Brij Bhushan Kabra, and Dr. Raj Bhan Singh Thakursaheb. However, he is constantly attempting to expand the definitions of "raga" and sitar" through his collaborations with well known Western guitarists like Stanley Jordan, and the late Michael Hedges.

The Mass as a form of musical composition is a choral composition that sets the fixed portions of the Eucharistic liturgy (principally that of the Roman Catholic Church) to music. Masses can be a capella, for the human voice alone, or they can be accompanied by instrumental obbligatos up to and including a full orchestra.
