Cleavant Derricks, Eden Espinosa, Will Swenson, Shelley Thomas and Haneefah Wood will open the annual awards show with a performance of Brooklyn's "Streetsinger." The New York Emmys will be broadcast from 8-10 PM ET on WNYC-TV (Channel 25 on Time Warner Cable). Directed and choreographed by Big River's Jeff Calhoun, Brooklyn began previews Sept. 23, 2004, and officially opened Oct. 21 at the Plymouth Theatre.
