Be Good Tanyas
Frazey Ford The Be Good Tanyas are a Canadian traditional music group, with influences in folk, country and bluegrass. The group, which comprises Frazey Ford (guitar, vocals), Samantha Parton (guitar, mandolin, banjo, vocals) and Trish Klein (guitar, banjo, vocals), was formed in British Columbia and played their first concerts in Vancouver in the late 1990s. In 2000 they embarked on a North American tour that ran from Vancouver to New Orleans, before returning to BC to record their first album Blue Horse, supposedly in a shack. The record, which combined old-time music standards such as "Oh Susannah" and "The Lakes Of Pontchartrain" with self-penned songs like "The Littlest Birds (sing the prettiest songs)", was well received in the folk-roots movement and highly praised for the quality of the harmony vocals and

Michael Travis (drums), Bill Nershi (acoustic guitar), Kyle Hollingsworth (keyboards), Keith Mosele (bass). Their music is strongly bluegrass influenced, with leanings towards rock, funk and psychedelia.
Fiddle and violin
though the bowss used differ. The term "fiddle" is used to describe a violin when played in folk music or sometimes Jazz. One slight difference between fiddle and violin occurs in American (e.g., bluegrass and American old-time music) fiddling: the bridge is shaved down so that it is essentially flat. This makes it easier to play double stops.
Soundtrack
is the physical area of the film which records the synchronized sound. The term soundtrack is also commonly used to refer to the music used in a movie, and/or to a record album sold containing that music. Sometimes, the music has been recorded just for the film or album (e.g. Saturday Night Fever), though this is rare. In 1916, Victor Schertzinger recorded the first music specifically for use in a motion picture, and releasing soundtracks of songs used in films became standard in the 1930s. Notable Soundtracks American Graffiti (massive-selling double album of rock oldies) Apocalypse Now (another hit, memorable use of the Ride of the Valkyries by Richard Wagner) The Bodyguard (by Whitney Houston and others, best selling of all time) Fast Times at Ridgemont High (successful soundtrack, using contemporary
The Stanley Brothers
and Ralph Stanley, born 1927) were American bluegrass musicians. They formed their first band, the Clinch Mountain Boys, in 1946. It originally played traditional string band music, but they later switched to bluegrass as it became more popular. Carter played guitar and sang lead while Ralph played banjo and sang harmony. Their harmonies are much admired, and many consider Carter Stanley to be one of the best singers in the history of country music. The brothers also wrote many of their own songs. Carter performed briefly with Bill Monroe while Ralph was recovering from injuries received in an automobile accident in 1951. Otherwise the brothers performed together until 1966 (from 1961 on as a duo). After Carter's death Ralph revived the Clinch Mountain Boys and was still performing in 2003. Among
